Things I Pondered When I Should Have Been Doing Other Stuff

  • First things first.......THANK YOU  to all the awesome bloggers out there who have bestowed a NUMBER of blogger awards on me, the most recent being Holly and Mayra. I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to do a proper post for each, but know it is greatly appreciated!
  • This week I went to see The Bourne Legacy with some friends. I love a good action movie and while it wasn't my favorite in the series, it was still really good. I really hope they continue with the story line of Aaron Cross.
  • I'd like to go ahead and send Jeremy Renner's parents a thank you card for a job well done.
  • On Tuesday, my friends Kaitlin, Jenny and I are going to go see The Possession. All this week at work we've been freaking ourselves out about it so I'm sure there will be many squeaks  screams and instances of popcorn flying from our buckets when we go.
  • What is the deal with some dudes (trust me, there are some really great ones out there who think it's awesome that there are ladies out there who can talk baseball, this is not about them--I'm talking about the ones who think we rank our favorite players based on their "hottness" or by how much we went to make out with them) blowing off us ladies who are fans of baseball?! Does it offend their manhood that it is possible to not have a penis yet still be able to discuss a teams ability (or inability) to compete during September baseball? For the record, yes, I am sticking to my guns on this one--->post All Star break Scherzer >>>>>>> post All Star break Verlander. And the "he isn't getting any run support" argument (for Verlander) is not a valid argument. NONE of the Tigers pitchers have been getting run support (don't even get me started on their average with RISP or how many times they've hit a double play ball) AND he is giving up runs of his own left and right and straight away center.
  • My hip has FINALLY been feeling better which means running shall begin Sunday. It's been more than two weeks since my last run and I've been itching to get out there again.
  • I was pretty impressed with the speeches at the Democratic National Convention this year. I am continually blown away by Michelle Obama . I don't always agree with the policies of either party, but I do agree with a party and a President that acknowledges our country is still broken and won't be fixed over night, that women should have control over their own bodies and who puts the power back in the hands of the people, not the corporations.
