Sunday Confessions

I literally just rolled back into town about an hour ago after spending THE BEST four days with friends. I seriously wish everyone could have friends like H and V.

It never fails that on my drive home from weekends away, my mind starts spinning with ideas about things I'd like to do, places I'd like to go and things I'd love to learn. Three+ hours driving down the road, singing obnoxiously loud to your favorite tunes will do that to a person I suppose. And today's drive was no different.

School Days: I've been bouncing the idea around in my head for a really long time and I think I've come to the concussion that now is the time for me to go back to school. I'm going to have to do it online, but I'm more than o.k. with that. It will work better with my work schedule and knowing that I won't have to drive to and from campus during the winter is a total win. Now it's just deciding on which program to go start: I can either get a degree in the field I currently work in, switch to a degree in Political Science or continue my degree in Psychology. I really just need to sit down with a adviser and figure it all out before I get too far ahead of myself.

Photography: Raise your hand if you are sick and tired of me rambling on and on and about wanting to do a major photography project? If all of you don't have your hands raised, I would be shocked. But here is the deal--I was looking through my online portfolio recently and was struck by how much I missed taking photographs. There is no way I am committing to a 365 project--it just isn't going to happen, but I want to do some kind of project. Something with a theme. I don't know what it is going to be yet, but it will be something.

Writing: I've also been feeling the itch to write again. Like fiction. Not non-fiction-putting my life on the blog writing. But honest to goodness, making stuff up and seeing where it goes fiction. Sure, I always have a notebook with me and am also noodling around story ideas in my head, but none of it has really gone anywhere and it needs to go somewhere. And fast.

  1. Yay! Good for you, for getting back into school and for the photo project and I wish you luck with both. I took all of my classes online and I found it to be very easy, but I'm also super computer savvy and good with reading off a computer, which I'm sure you are too. You'll do great!

  2. Thanks Emily! I'm pretty terrified of the idea of going back to school, but really excited too.
